DegreeSight collaborated closely with Rogers State University to not only implement the technology but also to facilitate meaningful operational change. The initiative began with structured training sessions, ensuring that RSU’s staff were fully equipped to leverage DegreeSight’s credit evaluation workflows, navigate OCR functionalities, and manage integration points with Jenzabar, their Student Information System. This foundational training was essential to building internal confidence and driving user adoption across the admissions team.

The rollout followed a phased automation approach. Initially, DocSight OCR technology was deployed internally to streamline transcript processing, while leadership engaged in strategic discussions about when and how to extend OCR capabilities directly to students. This measured approach allowed RSU to ensure compliance with institutional policies and maintain high standards of data integrity.

In parallel, RSU undertook a concerted effort to optimize its existing processes. The team focused on refining articulation rules and filters, which helped resolve longstanding discrepancies in equivalency data and accelerated the processing of pending transfer cases. These improvements not only enhanced operational efficiency but also elevated the consistency and accuracy of transfer credit evaluations.

With the new systems and processes in place, RSU’s admissions counselors experienced an immediate shift in their daily activities. Freed from time-consuming manual evaluations, they redirected their efforts toward proactive recruitment strategies and deeper student engagement. This transformation enabled RSU to respond to prospective transfer students more quickly and effectively, ultimately driving significant improvements in both enrollment outcomes and staff productivity.
